Inside Out Day Retreat 2026 – An Invitation to Yourself

A day by and for inspiring women. For your mindset, your spaces and the things that truly support you in everyday life.

Some projects don’t begin with a strategy, but with a feeling. With a deeply held belief. With the desire to create something that touches people, brings them together and stays with them long afterwards.
The Inside Out Retreat is exactly that kind of passion project for me.
It will take place for the second time on Saturday, 24 October 2026, once again in Malans, in the heart of the autumn landscape of the Bündner Herrschaft / canton of Grisons. A day by and for inspiring women. A day for fresh ideas, meaningful encounters, thoughtful design and the question of how we can shape our lives and our spaces so that they truly support us.
A change of perspective
Together with Anita Joos Eyre from AJE Coaching, I’m inviting women to step away from everyday life for a day. Not to get even more done, but to pause, recharge, find inspiration and reconnect with themselves.
Inside Out Retreat 2026:
A day for mindset, spaces and what really matters
The title says it all: Inside Out.
What moves us on the inside often finds its way into the world around us: into our decisions, our routines, our homes and the spaces we inhabit—and into the way we shape our lives.
That’s why the retreat brings together two perspectives that may seem different at first, yet complement each other beautifully: personal development and thoughtful interior design.
In the morning, Anita will guide participants through the theme “The Architecture of a Full Life”. We’ll explore supportive structures, priorities and boundaries, and consider how a fulfilling life is shaped through our choices, habits and the spaces that hold us.
I find this idea powerful. A home, too, doesn’t simply come together by chance. A home that supports and nourishes us, and truly reflects who we are, takes awareness. It asks us to notice what we want to keep, what we can let go of and what helps us in everyday life.
Malans: a special setting

Malans is more than just the location for this day. It’s part of the experience.
The autumn vineyards, the mountains, the tranquillity and the special connection between nature, culture and quality of life create a setting that feels authentic rather than staged. That’s exactly what makes this place so right for the Inside Out Retreat.

Between the workshops, there’ll be time for conversation, a shared meal, coffee, dessert, little breaks and moments outdoors in the vineyards. These spaces in between matter to us. Often, our best thoughts come when we leave room for them—not when we try to force them.
From the feeling of a room to thoughtful design
In the afternoon, I’ll open the door to my world: the world of spaces, atmosphere, materials, colours, textures and small design decisions that can have a big impact.
My session is called:
“From the feeling of a room to thoughtful design: a fresh perspective, clear ideas and a tangible difference.”
I’ll take participants behind the scenes of my work as an intuitive interior designer. How do I read a room? What do I notice that often gets overlooked in everyday life? Why does one room feel right while another doesn’t—even when everything looks “beautiful”?
Using real examples, design dilemmas, materials and textiles, I’ll show how colours, wood, light, rugs and personal pieces work together—and how they can bring more warmth, depth and personality to a space.

We’ve invited participants to bring a photo of their home, or of a space that matters to them. During the hands-on session, they’ll be able to look at it with fresh eyes and develop first ideas for creating more harmony, warmth and personality.
I want participants to leave not only feeling inspired, but with clear ideas and practical first steps for their own home—a home that not only looks good, but feels good and supports them in everyday life.
Why this retreat feels so personal
For me, the Inside Out Retreat isn’t simply an event to organise. It’s a space created with care.
Last year, we experienced how powerful it can be when women come together with intention. There were moments of lightness and depth, laughter and reflection, and a real sense of connection—including a few “magic moments”! That mix moved us deeply.
That’s why Anita and I are creating the second edition with the same care: small, personal and thoughtfully put together. Not as big as possible or as loud as possible, but right for the people who are there.
We personally invite women we feel would be comfortable in this setting, have something to contribute and take something meaningful away with them. Women with different stories, experiences and perspectives, connected by a willingness to be inspired for a day.
Who we are
The Inside Out Retreat is led by Anita Joos Eyre and Christine Schumacher — two women from different worlds who share the belief that we can shape a fulfilling life with intention.

Anita Joos Eyre, AJE Coaching
Anita Joos Eyre is a business and leadership coach. After an international career in luxury fashion in New York City, she now supports leaders and individuals in building self-confidence, resilience and emotional intelligence—both at work and at personal turning points.
Born in Graubünden and now living in Malans, she feels a deep connection to the region and brings a thoughtful understanding of people, personal growth and inner strength.

Christine Schumacher, Localia Interiors
Christine Schumacher is a qualified interior designer and founder of Localia Interiors. After nearly 20 years in the furniture industry and a personal turning point, she made her dream a reality. Through a holistic approach, she helps busy women create homes that not only look beautiful, but feel good too—like a love letter to themselves.
Together, Anita and Christine are creating a small, personal space for inspiring women, meaningful connection, fresh perspectives and thoughtful design—from the inside out.
An invitation to yourself
The Inside Out Retreat 2026 is an invitation to make space for yourself.
Space for the questions that often get pushed aside in everyday life.
Space for fresh perspectives.
Space for connection.
Space for your home—and for your life.
On 24 October 2026, we’ll meet at the Rathausstall in Malans for a day that nourishes and inspires, and that we hope will stay with us long afterwards.
We’re really looking forward to this day—and to sharing it with the women who will join us.
About registration
